This acrylic painting captures Braden Holtby's otherwordly save in Game 2 of the 2018 Stanley Cup Finals. Measures 24"x48" and is done on gallery-wrapped canvas.
With 2 minutes to go in the 3rd period, the Capitals led 3-2. Alex Tuch had what appeared to be an open-net for the game-tying goal. Braden Holtby made his spectacular save to preserve the lead and allow the Capitals to tie the Series. They eventually won the Cup, 4 games to 1.

"Doug Williams" - Super Bowl XXII MVP (18"x24")
Doug Williams led the Redskins to a win in Super Bowl 22. Throwing for 340 yards and 4 TD's, he was named the MVP.
This portrait is 18"x24" and was done with colored pencils and watercolors on watercolor paper.
"Juan Soto" 18"x24" acrylic on canvas. He gives hope to all of us Nationals fans. Finished 2nd in Rookie of the Year voting to Acuna of the Braves.
This painting, measuring 18"x24", shows the Redskins Logo with the feathers in the background and the old 1960's-era spear. The spear is done in gold paint, which doesn't show up very well in this photograph. Currently for Sale $150.00 includes all shipping.
Capitals Logos 24"x36"
"Capitals Logos" - this painting, completed in October 2014, highlights the various logos of the Washington Capitals through the years, including a nod to the 2015 Winter Classic. The beak, claw, and stars on the retro Capitals logo is done in gold paint; the gold doesn't show up well in this photograph, but looks exactly like what you see on the stars (the beak and claw shows darker in this photo). Price of $525 includes all shipping.
Charley Taylor Pencil Sketch
Charley Taylor - HOF 1984. Pencil on watercolor paper. Measures 12"x18". SOLD
"Hailin'" - Acrylic & ink on watercolor paper. Size is 18"x24". SOLD
"Redskins Logos" - acrylic on canvas 16"x20". Completed in August 2014. Finished on 08/16, sold on 08/17.
This piece incorporates the current and a few vintage Redskins logos. For those who disagree with the Redskins name and logo, this is probably a overload of offense. The Redskins images and logos, for fans of the team, and for many football fans in general, represents pride and a long history of football in the Washington D.C. area.
Jayson Werth Painting
"The Beard" painting measures 12"x36" and was donated to the Bethesda Big Train auction in November 2014.
The original hangs in my son's Capitals-themed bedroom. He's got a bit of bragging rights among his friends in that his father creates the artwork hanging on his walls (He also has my Ovechkin drawing "12x18" and the Retro Capital original 12"x18").
Ryan Zimmerman BLAST - sold to a collector in Virginia in March 2014.
I wanted something that wasn't necessarily a portrait of Zimmerman. I wanted something to convey the "blast" many Nationals fans (including myself) have experienced when he's hit one of his game-winning homers. He's had a penchant for coming up big in late-innings, beginning with his first walk-off against the Yankees in 2006.
Alexander Ovechkin Acrylic Painting -14"x18" on board
SOLD to a collector in Virginia
"Game 4" -Acrylic on canvas, 16"x20". For anyone who could possibly NOT know, this is Jayson after sending a 3-2 pitch into the left field seats in Game 4 of the 2012 NLDS vs. the Cardinals.
SOLD to a collector in D.C.
JJ Hardy of the Baltimore Orioles - Acrylics on canvas 24"x30"; done for the 2014 Orioles Fan Fest. I was asked to create some artwork that wasn't one of the "Big Three" (Markakis, Davis, Jones). Thankfully, while we were at the Fan Fest, I was able to take the painting to JJ Hardy and had him sign it. I left him a small print of it, and he said that he really liked it, which is great for any artist to hear.
